You may be able to earn college credit for what you already know! Prior learning or life experience credits can save you time and money and help you fulfill your undergraduate requirements for graduation. The College-Level Examination ProgramĀ® (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores. Earn credit for knowledge you've acquired through independent study, prior course work, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits or internships. DSST (formerly DANTES)

The DSST credit by exam program gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for life experience as a form of prior learning assessment. Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education, the exams are offered in diverse subject areas such as health, ethics, finance and technology. ACE
American Council on Education offers a college credit recommendation service that has evaluated training courses and examinations sponsored by professional and nonprofit organizations, labor unions, corporations and government. Participating programs may charge a fee for a transcript, but LETU does not charge to put the hours on the LETU transcript. There is a 30 credit hour limit.
Highlighted programs: AT&T, Lucent, Mortgage Bankers Association, PADI, US Postal Service, Verizon, various computer certificates, FAA, Certified Professional Secretary.

PONSI
National PONSI reviews formal courses and educational programs sponsored by non-collegiate organizations and makes appropriate college-level credit recommendations for the courses and programs evaluated. Participating programs may charge a fee for a transcript, but LETU does not charge to put the hours on the LETU transcript. There is a 30 credit hour limit.

Transfer Courses

Portfolio
Students may submit their portfolio after acceptance to the university. There is a $75 submission fee and a $50 transcription fee per credit awarded. There is a 30 hour credit limit.
